Forest Bay Cabins at 2888 North Lakeshore Road, Port Hope, Michigan.

Rickety little cabin with the best lake side view in a secluded quiet area anyone could ask for. The owners were Amazing!!!! sweet as could be, Never a bother but always there when needed. There are only 2 cabins left they are both in pretty crooked shape ridiculous foundation but the cabin was superbly clean and not a bug anywhere. The Showers are a walk from the cabin and also clean. I liken it to a camp grounds showers. lots of hot water. If the plan is to fish and see the sights then don't plan on watching TV as the only channel you will get is what ever the owners happen to be watching. Rather frustrating for my remote control freak of a husband but easy to just pop in a dvd which you have to bring your own player and movies. Super thankful for the fact that the owners watched the morning news otherwise we would have been clueless the entire day regarding weather. There are towns with lots of character both 10 to 15 min in either direction. Super nice people in this town, Thanks Perry for all your help (full service station) in town. If you are going to go antiquing the stores in port hope are not open during the week so plan to head to Port austin or further north. If you have Sprint cell service don't plan on getting any calls unless you drive about 2 miles south west or towards Bad Axe, Even our Onstar phone only worked now and then when the wind was blowing towards the lake. So plan on a secluded quiet relaxing vacation when going to forest bay. Janet and Rod Weiss will be sure you have what you need at an amazing affordable rate. We Loved it. Also met some fantastic new friends Elizabeth and Phil who were enjoying the other cabin on the property. Oh yes also has a small boat dock if the water level comes back up and a fantastic fish cleaning station. Hope you guys are still there when we can get away again, Christina and Jeffrey Green
